Freeman+Leonard is seeking a Media Director for a full time opportunity with an advertising agency

Candidates will be accepted from New York City, Dallas, Denver,  or Chicago

7+ years of experience

Shopper marketing or CPG highly preferred
 
Summary:

The world has changed significantly over the last year and a half, especially the way we shop. There are more options than ever to get what we need when we need it and can be done anytime and anywhere. The challenge is how to intercept consumers during this non-linear shopping journey and move them to purchase. 
 
We are looking for a Media Director who is interested in leading the development of strategic digital media plans that shape the way shoppers interact with brands. The person will work the agency’s largest CPG client and be a part of a growing team, further developing the media buying/planning process as well as guiding the professional development of junior team members.  
 
Core Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the media lead for assigned accounts and during client presentations 

  • Oversee the work of Supervisors and junior team members, including media plans and reporting 

  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the digital media landscape 

  • Deliver strategic media solutions that are grounded in our channel planning approach and methodology 

  • Integrate with the Commerce Experience Leads and Planning Leads to develop Omni-channel solutions 

  • Develop recommendations based on an understanding of vendor capabilities and audience targeting options 

  • Deliver “tried and true” media solutions as well as sell in new and emerging ideas 

  • Demonstrate an eagerness to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies Evaluate, build, and maintain relationships with vendors 

  • Deliver thought leadership in emerging media and commerce in the form of POVs 

  • Educate colleagues both within the department and across the agency on the digital media landscape, processes, and strategies 

  • Participate in new project development and new business efforts as needed by management

  • Familiar with ad serving and media research tools 

  • Able to conceptualize media and creative executions together 

  • Experience in media analytics; ideally in connecting media to sales 

  • Able to conduct data analysis and provide insights from findings 

  • Enjoys problem solving and can adapt to new technologies and processes 

  • Able to work effectively across functional groups and geographic offices 
 
Requirements: 

  • Experience: 7 + years of developing strategic digital media campaigns and presenting them to internal teams and clients 

  • Previous experience in retail marketing preferred 

  • Experience with retail media networks like Walmart Connect, Roundel, Amazon preferred 

  • Experience with shopping apps 

  • Experience with Social Media 

  • CPG experience preferred 

  • Familiarity with Google Marketing Platform and Integral Ad Science a plus 

  • Education: Four-year degree in communication, marketing, or related field
