Associate, Film Licensing
Full-time - Associate
We are looking for a result-driven Film Licensing Associate to support and learn within the Television and Theatrical Content Licensing department, from administrative responsibilities to Sales. What is a Film Licensing Associate - What does he/she/they do? Film Licensing Associate duties and responsibilities include working closely with the Supervisor and Team members, communicating across multiple teams to monitor asset availability, facilitate licensing, and oversee administrative and delivery timelines. Together with the Supervisor and Team members, you should also be able to promptly resolve licensee’s complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. To be successful as a Film Licensing Associate, you should stay up-to-date with our library of Content and maintain our Companies appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a Film Licensing Associate are to work closely with the Supervisor and Team members to achieve excellent licensee service, while consistently meeting Supervisor, Team members, and Company sale’s goals.
Responsibilities / Requirements
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Update contract inventory (Digital & Physical)
- Ultimately migrating physical contracts to Digital format.
- Input missing and new contracts into our inventory.
- File Contracts
- Coordinate Contracts with Licensees and/or HQ, for delivery and signature.
- Conduct Digital distribution research together with the Supervisor and team members, to prepare presentations and reports to update and inform HQ of ongoing changes and updates to the Film market. Example: views, platform subscribers, platform CPMs, new emerging platforms, Broadcaster market outlook etc.
- Work with Marketing team to coordinate licensee promotional plans by providing details on content launches.
Sales/Licensing Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Supervisor and Team members to oversee any type of film (TV/Theatrical) Distribution via digital platforms,
- Primary role of Associate will be to learn and support all Television and Theatrical Content Licensing including but not limited EST/TVOD Distribution.
- Work with Supervisor to determine content to be launched via EST/TVOD.
- Additional role of Associate will be to support day-to-day operational workflows to ensure timely launches and takedowns of content via EST/TVOD distribution.
- Develop relationships with distribution and servicing vendors.
- Prepare artwork and metadata for EST delivery.
- Associate will be responsible for preparing and managing royalty reports specifically focused on EST/TVOD.
- Additionally, the Associate will assist the Supervisor and team members in managing projects, onboarding new licensees, and supporting sales efforts with the goal of creating process efficiencies and expanding Film distribution.
- Associate will cooperate with our Production team to gain an understanding of dubbing/production pipelines, content specs, our library/inventory of content, and upcoming new Productions.
- Communicate Content delivery requirements to production team.
Basic Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, and communication skills.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Eligibility Requirements

- Must be able to commute to Culver City, CA on a hybrid work model (at least two days each work week, subject to change.)
- Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
- Native English speaker
- Additional Language: Spanish and/or Japanese preferred
Desired Characteristics
- Two (2) years of Licensing experience (preferred not mandatory)
- Knowledge of Anime / Animation (preferred not mandatory)
- Basic Digital streaming knowledge (preferred not mandatory)
- Adobe Suite of Programs (Preferred not mandatory)
- A team-player who can successfully operate in a team-oriented setting.
- Detail-oriented, self-starter who seeks out efficiency and creating solutions.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads across multiple projects.
