What You’ll Do
Core Responsibilities
- Own the quarterly press release calendar—from planning to execution—driving timelines, chasing updates, and keeping stakeholders accountable.
- Draft, edit, and refine press releases, media statements, FAQs, and executive quotes.
- Partner with PR agency and internal teams to secure and track earned media opportunities.
- Collaborate with Social/Organic team to amplify announcements, thought leadership, and media wins across channels.
- Maintain and update media lists and press materials; provide input on target outlets and opportunities.
- Monitor industry news, social chatter, and competitor activity to surface insights and opportunities.
Project-Based / As Needed
- Support executives with thought leadership content (bylines, LinkedIn posts, speaking opportunities).
- Contribute to message frameworks and positioning documents to ensure consistent external communication.
- Program manage cross-functional communications projects (e.g., toolkits, playbooks).
Who You Are
- 5–7 years of experience in communications, PR, or corporate comms (agency + in-house a plus).
- Strong project manager who ensures deliverables are met and teams stay on track.
- Excellent writer and editor, able to adapt tone and voice for executives, media, and customers.
- Skilled storyteller who can frame narratives for mainstream, fintech, and tech audiences.
- Curious and resourceful—always spotting opportunities to expand share of voice.
- Familiar with fintech, crypto, or financial services, with an eagerness to stay current on industry news.
- Comfortable working in regulated, high-visibility industries and navigating sensitive topics with discretion.
- Analytical and organized—able to track coverage, measure outcomes, and share insights.
Even Better If…
- Direct experience pitching reporters or building media relationships.
- Managed executive social accounts or created compelling company messaging for social.
- Strong personal interest in crypto/fintech.
- Experience working closely with legal/compliance in a regulated industry.
- Contributed to or built crisis/issues communications playbooks.
