Freeman+Leonard is seeking an Apparel Director of Marketing to lead our client's growth-oriented outdoor apparel and accessory company. As the Director of Marketing, you will guide a dynamic Marketing Team, streamline strategy and vision, and drive B2B and B2C marketing efforts. From customer acquisition to communications, and website functionality, you will be pivotal in maximizing customer lifetime value, increasing repeat purchases, and managing profitability for all departmental initiatives.
In this vital role, you will be instrumental in shaping the brand image and expanding the customer base while driving revenue through effective marketing strategies. Your leadership skills will be tested as you manage a team of talented marketers, ensuring they align with the company's goals and objectives. Responsibilities
- Develop an annual and long-term business strategy and revenue plan for all marketing initiatives.
- Manage and execute projects to drive customer acquisition, traffic, and conversions, surpassing targets.
- Work collaboratively with team members to enhance outreach strategies and execution across various communication channels, including email, SMS, social media, and industry platforms.
- Supervise SEO and PPC efforts, aiming to enhance current structures, reporting, and roadmap management.
- Manage eCommerce projects, including planning, report analysis, and technical developments.
- Coordinate the distribution of the Annual Catalog and subsequent Drop Catalogs.
- Ensure effective communication with cross-functional teams, management, and direct reports.
- Stay attuned to market trends and lead the company's market research endeavors.
- Foster continuous development of the Marketing Team through learning programs, classes, and webinars.
- Identify gaps in the Marketing Team and take measures to fill them, strengthening the team overall.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments to ensure the company's marketing efforts are innovative and cutting-edge.
- Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to align marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and media contacts.
- Manage budget allocation for marketing initiatives and ensure a high return on investment.
- Display a strong desire to continuously learn new techniques and skills in the marketplace to enhance marketing strategies.
- Ability to apply marketing techniques across both digital and traditional channels.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to assess individuals' strengths and weaknesses and assign projects accordingly.
- Strong leadership abilities to guide the Marketing Team toward success.
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a Director of Marketing or a similar leadership role.
- Marketing experience in the apparel industry is required.
- Expertise in developing effective strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects.
- In-depth understanding of market research and data analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with various business disciplines, including IT, Finance, and Legal.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Yotpo, Shopify Plus, and NetSuite ERP.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent project management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
