Job Description
The Brand Insights Manager is a new position designed to provide guidance and leadership with brand insights across all relevant content and merchandise business units. This person will work with any and all research and reporting partners to help develop the most actionable and effective dashboards, reports and research materials. A passion for anime is preferred and ability to work a hybrid schedule in Los Angeles, CA is required.
The Brand Insights Manager will have a solid understanding of the latest trends across the company’s biggest brands and communicate out learnings to internal as well as external stakeholders partnering in the development and distribution of merchandise and content. In addition, this person will help formulate marketing plans and promotions leveraging key insights.

This position will be based in Los Angeles, CA. Must be able to work a hybrid schedule.

[Salary range: $88K - 95K + Benefits (Health, dental, 401K, paid vacation)

In addition, this person will help formulate marketing plans and promotions leveraging key insights.
Responsibilities Include:
- Tracking and measuring key brand metrics and insights across a variety of resources
- Managing agencies that provide key resources for metrics and insights
- Piloting marketing programs and promotions that are inspired by insights
- Curating and communicating key insights to all stakeholders including executives, internal teams, distribution and licensing partners associated with the brands
- Authoring and distributing a B2B newsletter to provide strategic guidance and updates to partners with revenue stakes in both content monetization and merchandise revenue
- Communicating and handling the approvals for various brands
The Ideal Candidate Must Have:
- At least 2 years of experience in brand insights and reporting
- A passion for digesting and interpreting data with a strategic lens
- An enthusiasm for reporting dashboards and an openness to new tools and technology
- Intellectual curiosity on what metrics to seek out
- And openness to challenge assumptions and ask questions
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Work Ethic
- The willingness to change work patterns as the work environment changes
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint
The Ideal Candidate May Have:
- Previous experience with media monitoring tools (Meltwater, Emplify, Talkwalker, etc.) and social media management tools (Sprout, AgoraPulse, HootSuite, etc.).
- Entertainment, gaming or other adjacent industry experience
- A passion for anime
- Willingness to attend and participate at the major anime conventions
- Japanese language skill is not required but preferred
